Kembali lagi kita dalam segmen khidmat masyarakat ye adik2. Hari ni kak atie nak kongsi cara2 nak jimatkan ayo @ air @ ayaq @ water.. Tapi entry kali ni dalam bahasa omputeh la, bukan ape kak atie pun cilok benda ni dalam paper NST so maleh la nak pi translate sebijik2 kan..( Tu le orang sekarang, sume nak harap gomen nolong tak pentingkan english edukesyen... )So, layankan jelah...

Here are 10 things you can do to reduce water usage in the house. Not only would you save money but you can also help reduce the pollution of lakes, rivers and watersheds.

1. Take short showers instead of baths. Get wet in the shower, turn it off to soap and then turn it back on to rinse off. ( janganla kome2 dok berkampung dlm bilik ayo pulak ye, siap nyanyi lagi.. sikit2 udah le... jangan disongsangkan tujuan anda itu.. )
2. Turn off the tap when shaving or brushing your teeth. Rinse hand razors in a filled sink rather than under running water. When washing your hair, turn off the water while lathering the shampoo. This simple little act can save 95 litres a month. ( ate ngapenye kome syampu rambut dlm sinki ni? gi la bilik ayo.. )
3. Use a bucket or official rain catcher to catch rain outside. Use rain water instead of water from the hose to water your garden. ( yang ni mak teman slalu buat.. kome tadah le ayo ujan kat luar rumah tu.. )
4. Don't run the dishwasher or laundry machine unless you have a full load. Skip the extra-long prewash and scrub cycles unless necessary. Do not use a garbage disposal except at the end of cooking or clean-up periods or when it is full. Even better, don't use the disposal at all. Compost vegetable peelings or put them in the garbage can. ( kat rumah teman, xde pulak benda alah dishwasher ni, sume pakei manual.. hehe )

5. In the kitchen, don't wash under a running tap. Instead, fill a container with water or use the sink. Wash all the vegetables for a meal at the same time. To dislodge particles of dirt, use a brush, washcloth or your hand rather than rely on the force of water to do so. After soaking fruit and vegetables, use the water for indoor plants. ( sungguh praktikal kan?kan?kan?.. teman pun tak penah buat.. huhu.. )

6. Keep a bottle of water in the refrigerator for drinking rather than drink from the tap. Use only the minimum amount of water needed for cooking. When filling the kettle, try to estimate the actual amount needed. ( yang ni teman pasti sume rumah ade buat kan?kan?.. )

7. Water the lawn only when necessary. Do this in the early morning to avoid rapid evaporation. Use drip irrigation or soaker hoses because these apply water slowly and directly to the soil. ( mak teman memang rajin le siram pokok, time ujan pun die siram.. huhu.. )8. Check for leaky pipes and faucets. That little drip simply means water and money going down the drain. ( betoi2.. paip bocor tu ibarat poket bocor le... )

9. Soak pots and pans before washing. After a couple of hours, the sticky residue will wash away easily. ( mak teman memang pantang beno kalau teman maleh rendam kuali @ periuk.. yela, teman memang maleh pun.. )
10. Use a sponge and bucket when cleaning your car. If you use the hose, fix a shut-off nozzle so the water is not constantly running. You can also wash your car on the lawn and water the grass at the same time. ( takpun ye adik2, moh le contohi kak atie yang basuh moto setahun 2 3 kali jerrrr... )

Cara yang sungguh senang kan adik2?? Jadi jimatlah ayo kat rumah tu, bukan u oll's yang bayo kan? Makpak kome gak yang bayo.. ( nasihat untuk diri sendiri juge.. hehe.. )
